LS 510 (section 001) Fall 2006

Plant Biology Journal Club

Topic: Plant Stress Responses

This semester, we will focus on responses to various stresses, both of biotic and abiotic origin. Possible topics include:
• salt stress • drought • temperature shock • pathogens • herbivore attack • etc.

Every Monday, at 4 pm in Hesler 427, one of us will introduce us to a publication on plant stress responses, followed (or interrupted) by a general discussion of the science, methods, and biology involved.

A short primer on how to select a recent publication for the journal club can be found here.
