Fungal Environmental Sampling Network (FESIN)

 

FESIN is a NSF-funded research coordination network of consisting of mycologists and ecologists who have a common interest in:

bullet the development of rapid identification methods for fungi
bullet creation of a cyber-infrastructure to retrieve multiple types of biological information on fungal taxa
bullet stimulation of educational outreach opportunities in fungal ecology

The network will meet alternately with the Ecological Society of America and with the Mycological Society of America.
