Welcome to the Division of Biology!
The Division of Biology grants undergraduate degrees in
biology with concentrations in the following areas:
- Biochemistry & Cellular and Molecular Biology (BCMB)
- Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB)
- Microbiology
- Plant Biology
There are also graduate degrees offered in BCMB, EEB,
and microbiology, as well as the graduate program in life sciences – School
of Genome Science and Technology (GST).
Introductory biology courses for non-majors (Biology 101/102 or 111/112) and
for majors (Biology 111/112, 130/140, 240 and 250) are managed by General
Biology. Majors must complete a core set of courses through
General Biology for advancement to most upper-level departmental courses.
