Message from the Head

Research and teaching in the BCMB department cover a wide range of topics in modern biology. The department provides education and research opportunities to more than 350 undergraduate majors. Undergraduate research is one of the strengths of our department, and we are committed to providing meaningful research experiences for all undergraduates to our majors as well as undergraduates from other institutions in our summer research program. Our research strengths are in structural and computational biology, plant and microbial biology, and cell biology and genetics. The departmental web page is provided as a service to prospective students, existing students and faculty, alumni and partners from the community. These pages include news from BCMB, our weekly seminars, information about undergraduate scholarship and research opportunities, and details about our graduate program, application forms and information. If you desire additional information or have suggestions for other information you would like to find on our web pages, please feel free to contact us.
